Fee Disclosure

No surprises. This page lists every fee involved in using Cervan. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Cervan plans

Starter. $50 per month. Includes 1 user, up to 2 total.
Pro. $100 per month. Includes 3 users, up to 6 total. Adds jobs and dispatch, route optimization, electronic signatures, team chat and reports.
Business. $200 per month. Includes 10 users with no cap. Adds crews, crew calendars, live team map and CSV export.
Additional users. $20 per month for each user beyond the ones included in your plan, up to your plan's maximum.

There is no free plan. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that requires a card on file. If you cancel before the trial ends you pay $0. After the trial, plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime from Billing; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account becomes read-only until you pick a plan again. Except where required by law, amounts already charged are non-refundable. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax.

2. Usage Balance: texts, AI and Cervan Voice

Text messages, AI features and Cervan Voice run on a prepaid Usage Balance that is separate from your monthly plan. You add funds in $25 top-ups from Billing, and each use is deducted from that balance at the per-item price shown in the app (for example, $0.0083 per text message segment). AI requests and voice minutes are billed per use at the prices listed in Billing.

Top-ups are prepaid and non-refundable, do not expire while your account is active, and are never billed as overage. When your balance reaches zero, texts, AI and voice pause until you top up again, so you cannot receive a surprise bill. Emails to your customers are unlimited and free on every plan. Your mobile carrier may charge you or your customers for messages.

3. Getting paid: Stripe processing fees

If you turn on online payments, you connect your own Stripe account. Stripe charges its standard processing fees on each payment and deducts them before depositing the rest into your bank account. Typical Stripe pricing in the U.S. is about 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment and 0.8% (capped at $5) per ACH bank payment. Stripe sets these rates: see stripe.com/pricing for current pricing.

Cervan does not charge any fee on payments you collect. Money moves from your customer straight into your own Stripe account and out to your bank. Cervan never holds, controls or delays your funds.

4. Refunds, chargebacks and disputes

Refunds you issue and chargebacks your customers file are handled through Stripe and are deducted from your Stripe balance, along with any Stripe dispute fee. Cervan does not reimburse processing fees, refunds or chargebacks.

5. Taxes

You are responsible for the sales tax you charge your customers and for your own business, income and payroll taxes. Cervan calculates the tax rate you enter on a document; it does not file or remit taxes for you.

6. Changes to fees

We may change plan pricing or Usage Balance per-item prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app before it affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
