Usage, in plain English
Texting, AI and voice are pay as you go, so they come out of a prepaid Usage Balance instead of your monthly price. You add $25 whenever you want and every item is priced up front and itemized in your history. Nothing runs when the balance is empty, so you can never get a surprise invoice.
Text messages
$0.0083 per segment. A segment is 160 characters, so most texts are one segment (under a penny) and a long one runs two or three, about $0.02. That is about 3,000 segments on a $25 refill. Customer emails are always unlimited and free.
AI and Cervan Voice

The Usage Balance is prepaid and separate from your plan: unused funds carry over and are not refundable. Texts are $0.0083 each and AI, voice and receipt scanning are billed per use; every charge is itemized in your usage history. Cervan takes no cut of your customer payments: you connect your own Stripe account and Stripe charges its standard processing fees (about 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment, 0.8% capped at $5 per ACH bank payment) directly. Do I need a credit card to start?

How does the Usage Balance work?
Texts, AI and Cervan Voice are pay as you go from a prepaid balance you top up $25 at a time. Texts are $0.0083 each and AI and voice are billed per use. When the balance hits zero those features pause, so you never get a surprise bill. Customer emails are always unlimited and free.
How do online payments work?
You connect your own Stripe account, so money goes straight to your bank. Stripe charges its standard rate (about 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment). Cervan does not take a cut of your customer payments.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Billing in one tap and keep access through the period you already paid for. Your data stays in read-only mode until you pick a plan again.
